Flooring

New flooring is only as good as what is underneath it. We install luxury vinyl plank and laminate flooring the right way — and when a floor needs more than a surface swap, we handle that too: tear-out, subfloor repair and rebuilding, leveling, and clean transitions and trim to finish.

Our focus

Subfloor-first flooring — we fix what is underneath before we cover it, so the new floor stays flat, quiet, and tight.

Our approach

How we handle flooring.

A surprising number of flooring jobs are really subfloor jobs. Soft spots, squeaks, dips, and water damage do not get fixed by covering them with new plank — they get worse. When we open a floor and find damage, we say so, show you, and scope the repair before anything new goes down.

Preparation is the difference between a floor that lasts and one that telegraphs every flaw: damaged sections cut back to solid material, joists and subfloor rebuilt where needed, surfaces leveled, and underlayment matched to the product. Only then does the new flooring go in — with proper expansion gaps and clean, straight courses.

Finish work matters on floors: transitions that sit flush, thresholds that do not trip, baseboards and quarter round refitted neatly, and vents and trim detailed rather than worked around. The goal is a floor that looks like it was always there.

Common questions

Flooring FAQs

My floor has soft spots — can you still install new flooring?

Yes, but the soft spots get fixed first. Soft or dipping areas usually mean subfloor damage, and new flooring over a bad subfloor fails early. We open it up, repair or rebuild the damaged sections, then install the new floor on a solid base.

What flooring types do you install?

Luxury vinyl plank and laminate are the core of our flooring work — durable, good-looking, and well suited to busy homes. If you have a different material in mind, ask and we will tell you honestly whether it is a job for us.

Do you handle the tear-out and disposal?

Yes. Tear-out of the old flooring is part of the scope, along with any subfloor repair we find, and the written estimate spells out what is included before work starts.
