I'm Ben Hardy, owner of HearthOak Construction, LLC. My background is in mechanical engineering, product design, and hands-on construction. I've spent my career understanding how things work, how they're built, and what makes them last.
Before starting HearthOak, I worked in product design and development, where precision, problem-solving, and attention to detail were essential. That engineering mindset carries directly into my construction work today. I believe doing a job right means understanding more than just how to make something look good. It means knowing why it's built a certain way, choosing the right materials, and paying attention to the details that determine how well it lasts.
I started HearthOak with a straightforward philosophy: do good work, treat people right, and build things that last.
I've always enjoyed working with my hands and seeing an idea take shape into something real. There's a particular satisfaction in stepping back at the end of a project, seeing the details come together, and knowing the work was done right. Even better is seeing a homeowner genuinely excited about the finished result. That's the part of this work that makes it personal to me.
